Dragons are a girl’s best friend

When Gina Kiel showed us her portfolio it inspired her bio line, “Because the feminine touch is not always a soft one”. As a subject matter, dragons provide Gina with another way for her to demonstrate what we meant by that line.

Dragons symbolise strength and power. But they also have a mystique about them that makes them beautiful to behold. Illustrating these aspects in balance requires a very deft hand and understanding of tone and composition. Gina has both of these at hand which is evidenced in her portfolio which showcases many examples of balancing the themes of strength and beauty.

Another aspect of this brief was the reason for the dragon, to celebrate the advent of the Chinese New Year. To do this Gina was asked to emulate the essence of traditional Chinese art but with a contemporary feel. This is the second time Gina has been asked to execute this balance of styles and again we are extremely impressed with her success. The first time was a campaign surrounding the Chinese Moon Festival which you can view by clicking here.
